The drone is a security vector whose performance makes it possible to secure an outdoor event over several days non-stop.
This month of August, during the “Plages Electroniques” organized at the Palais des festivals of Cannes, the drone pilots ensured the video surveillance of the 40,000 participants. For 3 consecutive days, the drone deployed on the roof of the palace made it possible to secure the 40,000 m² “dancefloor”, 4 scenes and the entire urban perimeter. The security audit made it possible to position the drone in a strategic place and to render in real time, a global vision of the place, for flow management, event security and participant safety missions.
The drone fully integrated with the security system and connected to the Command Post, the 360° HD vision with optical zoom, allowed the authorities to cover a vast field of surveillance day and night.
The drone is now a support for:
Detect threats in the overall system: crowd overflows, theft or aggression, preservation of people’s property, risky behaviours.
Provide logistical and technical assistance:
- in the search for information following offenses committed,
- in the preservation of protected areas (bathing area to be evacuated in the late evening, security gates).
